Also ash.ie has lots of facts and articles about becoming smoke free. So get focussed, set a date, and become Smoke Free.
Our sessions are personally tailored to each individual’s needs. Everyone’s unique. There are different reasons and “triggers” for smoking.
We believe that by speaking with you, on a one to one basis, we will get to the core of your smoking habit. After identifying your reasons for your smoking, we will practice some relaxation techniques. When you are sufficiently relaxed, we will then give you positive suggestions for becoming a non-smoker. And this is the serious part: when you hear these suggestions, you either accept them, because you like what you hear i.e you want to become a non-smoker OR you reject them and no change takes place- this is why your intention to quit, your desire to quit is so important. If your intention and desire is not genuinely strong and truthfully honest then what we do is not for you- simple as.
We will have a discussion with each client before we mutually agree to work with each other.
This is a two-way street. It gives you, the individual the opportunity to see if we are the right therapist for you. It also gives us the opportunity to see if our services will be of benefit to you. What we mean by this is that we have to be satisfied that you are in the right place and that you are ready to commit. If we do not think that we can help you, we will inform you of our opinion when we speak with you during our initial phone conversation

Occasionally, a client may slip through the net. If they do, we want them back in our clinic. We provide a free back-up session within the first 6 months; if there are difficulties with cravings or if one “falls off the wagon”. If one is committing their energy and money to quit smoking - we are committed to providing you with the best possible service to make this happen.
